LƯƠNG DUY
“It’s difficult to create meaningful art with an unpurified heart, with its essence unmistakably reflected in the work itself.”
Lương Duy (b. 1972) is a versatile artist, architect, and tea enthusiast. Having graduated from the University of Industrial Arts in 1998, he forged his artistic path early, learning lacquer techniques from his father, a celebrated lacquer artist, since the age of 10. This foundational experience was pivotal to his artistic development.
As an artist, Luong Duy’s works go beyond technical prowess, serving as profound meditations on the fluidity of time—past, present, and future. They act as a gentle escape, a quiet haven from the societal rat race, inviting viewers into a contemplative space to find peace and ponder existence. His art elegantly showcases the seamless integration of traditional beauty, architectural sensibility, and spiritual depth.
