Thảo Nguyên’s early career has been marked by a clear articulation of her artistic vision, which sets her apart from many of her peers under 35. This ability to position her art within the dynamic landscape of young contemporary Vietnamese art makes her a notable talent.

Her first solo exhibition “Nguyên and Nguyên” was a significant milestone emphasizing the her artistic philosophy centers on the profound conviction: 

Art is an innate and demanding calling, one that requires complete devotion even amidst despair. Ultimately, art chooses the artist, not the other way around, highlighting a deep surrender to one’s creative path.”

She honed her skills at the Vietnam University of Fine Arts, graduating with her bachelor’s degree in 2019 and her master’s in fine arts in 2022.
